Javornice: Hotels and Accommodations
Above the Betlém district lies Jahodová hora; at 505 meters, it is the highest point in Javornice. It can be reached via a preserved section of the old Imperial Road, and Jahodová hora offers views of the Orlické Mountains. Since the 1980s, tourists and people of goodwill have gathered on Jahodová hora at around 2 p.m. on New Year's Day to join hands and wish one another happiness and good health for the new year.
Culture
The Church of St. George complex in Javornice is an immovable cultural monument. The church is a single-nave building with a rectangular floor plan and a projecting square tower on the western façade. Attached to the Church of St. George is an extension with a sculptural group depicting Christ on the Mount of Olives.
The Marie and Vojtěch Sedláček Memorial features a permanent exhibition of paintings by Vojtěch Sedláček as well as an exhibition section dedicated to the lace art of Marie Sedláčková-Serbousková. A guided tour of the memorial also includes the painter's studio and the apartment shared by both artists. The memorial room dedicated to Josef Korejz Blatinský displays works depicting villagers in traditional costumes from various parts of Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia, as well as landscapes, houses, and customs.
Sports and Recreation
The sports and recreation complex in Javornice includes a children's playground for children aged three to fourteen. It also features a 110-meter-long straight athletics track with four lanes and a tartan surface, a long-jump facility, and a shot-put sector.
