Zdelov: Hotels and accommodations

The Brodec flows through all of Zdelov and is therefore one of the defining features of the village. Its former use also points to the local history: the stream once supplied two ponds that could power two mills in Zdelov. One of Zdelov’s historic ponds was converted into an outdoor swimming pool.

The first written mention of Zdelov dates from 1342. A local legend explains the name of the village with the exclamation “Zde lov nebude!” (“There will be no hunting here!”).

The tradition of the Zdelovská lávka is maintained every year with the participation of local residents and the Zdelov Volunteer Fire Brigade. It takes place on the grounds of the former outdoor swimming pool in Zdelov.

Sports events take place in the sports complex of the municipality of Zdelov. The TJ Sokol Zdelov football stadium is primarily open to the public for watching football matches. The stadium is accessible to the public from at least one hour before the start of an event until one hour after it ends.

Cycling route 4318: This moderately difficult, road-marked route uses Class III roads and designated-purpose paths. Its surface is asphalt or paved; it is suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes. Cycling route 4318 runs via Kostelec nad Orlicí, Sklenářka and Zdelov, which is listed at kilometre 6.60 of the route.
