Zdobnice: Hotels and Accommodation

Zdobnice lies in the valley of the river of the same name in the Orlické Mountains, between the Říčky and Deštné ski resorts. Most of the municipality lies within the Orlické Mountains Protected Landscape Area; at the same time, Zdobnice has a distinctly recreational character.

Cycling and Trails Through the Landscape

Singletrack Zdobnice is a network of more than 10 kilometres of one-way mountain bike trails. The main entrance is located at the fire reservoir in Zdobnice. There is also a practice trail, a pump track, a bicycle service station and a charging station for electric bicycles directly at the entrance.

Zdobnice offers suitable conditions for hiking and cycling. The landscape around the village also invites visitors to go for walks and pick mushrooms outside the main season.

Nature and Protected Areas

The Kačerov Nature Reserve in the municipality of Zdobnice protects wet meadows, transitional bogs, springs and mountain meadows that are home to rare and endangered species. The area is freely accessible to visitors; however, entering the bog and spring areas is not recommended.

In the Orlické Mountains, the U Kunštátské kaple Natural Monument preserves a ridge bog with notable flora. It can be viewed from the red-marked ridge trail without entering the protected area. The Pod Zakletým Protected Area preserves the habitat of the highly endangered and protected common butterwort (Pinguicula vulgaris).

A powerful spring rises by the former Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Malá Zdobnice, and its water is reputed to have healing properties.
