The Zdobínský potok stream rises in Zdobín. The Baliharka spring is located in a nearby meadow; it is one of five springs of the Bystřice River.

The Sbírková zahrada Zdobín comprises a diverse collection of trees, shrubs, and perennials. It is open year-round and classified as a certified natural garden.

Activities

A cycle path runs through Zdobín. Ontário near Zdobín is a sandstone bouldering area. Ontário can be reached from Zdobín: you can park at the U Tučků inn and then walk approximately 0.5 km along a path into the forest. Ontário can also be reached from Miletínské lázně via tourist trail 04 in the direction of Zdobín.

Culture and History

The traditional folk crafts fair in Zdobín took place for the 20th time in 2026. Demonstrations of traditional crafts are presented there; suckling pig, sausages, and other food as well as beer are also offered.

In 1261, Zdobín belonged to the possessions of the Teutonic Order. According to an entry from 1657, Zdobín was burned to the ground during the Thirty Years' War.

In the 19th century, cottage weaving was widespread in Zdobín, including the weaving of Kalmuk. The bead maker Josef Kynčl, who had trained in Vienna, began working as a bead maker in Zdobín in 1862. Around 1900, bead production in Zdobín reached its greatest flourishing; beads were blown in every house. In 1931, the production of glass Christmas ornaments replaced the previously declining bead industry in Zdobín.
