The Muzeum Abertamy documents the town’s craft traditions of glove making and its mining past. Its exhibition comprises around 300 exhibits on the history of leather glove production, as well as a multimedia area with a time machine. The museum also includes a mining history exhibition with minerals originating predominantly from the Jáchymov region.

Vila Felicitas is a registered immovable cultural monument and belongs to the town of Abertamy. It is an exceptionally well-preserved building with numerous original features. The Church of the “Čtrnácti sv. pomocníků” was built in 1534 by the town of Jáchymov on the village square of the newly founded mining settlement of Abertamy and was rebuilt in the Baroque style between 1735 and 1738. Its floor plan comprises a partially recessed prismatic tower, a single-nave church building and a pentagonal chancel.

Abertamy was founded as a mining settlement because of its silver and tin deposits and was later elevated to a royal mining town. The Abertamy–Boží Dar–Horní Blatná Mining Landscape includes Abertamy, including the mining settlement of Hřebečná. Důl Mauritius is a national cultural monument and the largest tin mine in the Czech Ore Mountains. The Kryštof adit at Důl Mauritius is open to the public from May to September. The mining landscape in the wider surroundings of Abertamy is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Abertamy offers three educational trails for walkers and hikers. All three educational trails start at Náměstí Míru near the information centre. The Plešivec Educational Trail is 8 km long and leads through forested terrain to Plešivec, at an elevation of 1,028 m, and then back to Abertamy through the valley of the Bystřice stream.

The Hřebečná Educational Trail begins about 800 m from the square in Abertamy, along a green-marked hiking trail towards Plešivec. It is 3.8 km long and has an 11 km extension around Bludná. The “17 abertamųských zastavení” Educational Trail is 7 km long and follows in the footsteps of Alexander Wüst, a photographer from Abertamy and operator of a photography school.

The Hřebečná Educational Trail includes the Lom Hřebečná stop. This stop describes a distinctive ridge of volcanic rock with columnar jointing, as well as protected plant and animal communities.

Local cycling route No. 2004 runs from Abertamy to Český Mlýn. It is 14 km long and classified as moderately difficult. There are also routes for cycling excursions around Abertamy. Downhill skiing is possible at the Plešivec ski resort near Abertamy.
