The highest point of the Hamerská Educational Trail is a valuable peat bog on Tisovský vrch. The Karlova-Stežka is particularly suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes, as its paths are not paved throughout.

Culture and History

The late Baroque Church of Saint John of Nepomuk was built in 1789 on a hill in the upper part of Nové Hamry. It was declared a cultural monument in 1958. A Baroque chapel in Nové Hamry is first mentioned in 1739.

Active Experiences

The Seifert via ferrata at the Nové Hamry campsite comprises four secured routes with difficulty levels A, B, C and D. Routes A and B are intended primarily for children and complete beginners. The equipment required to climb the rocks can be rented at the nearby Seifert Hotel.

The Ruperta Fuchse Educational Trail is a 3.5 km circular route. It has eight stations and focuses on nature, history, mining, traditional crafts, tin mining and glassmaking.

The ski lifts in Nové Hamry include the TJ Nové Hamry lifts.

Getting There

Nové Hamry railway station is located on route 142 between Karlovy Vary dolní nádraží and Johanngeorgenstadt. It is integrated into the local public transport system.
