Uitwa: Hotels and Accommodation
The history of Uitwa includes the Church of St. Vitus in Útvina. It was built by the Milevsko construction workshop in the first quarter of the 14th century on a hill at the northeastern edge of the municipality; its first written mention dates from 1354. As a single-nave Gothic church, it has a three-sided presbytery and a rectangular tower on its north side. The church is occasionally accessible.
Culture and History
Přílezy has a preserved, compact historic settlement surrounding the village green, as well as the Church of St. Bartholomew and a cemetery. The late Romanesque Church of St. Bartholomew is a Cistercian-type church and was built in the second quarter of the 13th century. Its first written mention dates from 17 September 1354. It was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 14th century and remodelled in the Baroque style in the 18th century; the exterior areas are accessible.
In front of the Church of St. Bartholomew, a crucifix stands on a stone pedestal. The original Neoclassical cross at this location was replaced with a new one at the beginning of the 20th century.
Cycling Route
Local cycling route No. 2232 Bečov–Toužim–Nečtiny runs through Útvina. It is 39 km long and moderately difficult.
Surroundings and Views
The mountains of Hůrka, Prachometský kopec, Třebouň and Homolka, as well as Novy Dvur Monastery, are located in the vicinity of Útvina. In the wider regional surroundings of Útvina are Loket Castle, the Lina Ruins and Schlackenwerth Monastery.
The Třasák lookout tower is located on the southern edge of the municipality of Útvina. The hexagonal, three-storey tower is 12.5 m high; its stone ground floor is topped by a structure made of impregnated spruce wood.
