Wilkowitz can be explored through tangible traces of history and landscape. A historic country road from Žandov led through Vlkovice. In Vlkovice, the characteristic circular village layout is still recognizable today; Vlkovice is also one of the old Teplá municipalities.
Landscape
Vlkovice is located in the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area. A mineral spring in Vlkovice is the Křovištní kyselka; it can be reached via a footpath. At the Křovištní kyselka, clearly visible bubbling of carbon dioxide with numerous bubbles can be observed at the surface.
Cycling and Trails
The orange-marked cycle route No. 3 leads through meadows and forests in the southern part of the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area before reaching Vlkovice. The route is 21 kilometers long, passes through Vlkovice, and is recommended for mountain bikes. Today, Úšovice Road serves as a shortcut for cyclists and pedestrians.
Railway History
On December 17, 1898, the first two trains of the Karlovy Vary railway line from both directions crossed paths in Vlkovice at the festively decorated station. The VLKOVICKÝ TUNEL is 240 meters long and lies on the railway ascent from Mariánské Lázně to Vlkovice.

Vlkovická rybka was a children's fishing gathering at the pond in Vlkovice on September 7, 2024; at that time, it took place for the second time.
