Scheibenreuth: Hotels and Accommodations

Okrouhlá extends along the slopes surrounding the Jesenický potok, which flows into the Jesenická Reservoir. There is a campsite within the municipality; it offers camping facilities, a place for swimming, and safe access to the water. The Autokemp Baldi campsite is also located near Okrouhlá on the shore of the Jesenická Reservoir. The reservoir is a non-trout fishing area managed by the Czech Anglers Union.

The forests around Okrouhlá are considered to offer abundant opportunities for mushroom picking. A local cycle route marked “397 2129” runs through Úbočí, Milíkov, Okrouhlá, Lipová, and Mýtina and is designated as CZ/D 22.

The first written mentions of Okrouhlá date back to 1299, when the estate belonged to the Paulsdorfer family. On the edge of the former castle park stands the “Valdštejn Oak” memorial oak. It was ceremonially named in honor of Albrecht z Valdštejna in 1910, has a trunk circumference of 674 cm, and is considered one of the most powerful oaks in the Cheb region.

In the center of Okrouhlá, beneath the “Valdštejnův dub” memorial oak, stands the wooden sculpture “Ležícího Valdštejna.” Outdoor exercise equipment for children, young people, and adults has been installed in the park by the adjacent pergola. Easter, autumn, and Christmas craft workshops are also held regularly in Okrouhlá.

Okrouhlá Fortress is not open to the public.
