Prysk: Hotels and Accommodation

Prysk lies in a narrow valley of the Pryský potok, enclosed by the steep slopes of the surrounding mountains.

Landscape and Trails

The village is located in the Lužické hory Protected Landscape Area. An approximately eight-kilometre circular hiking trail runs around Prysk. Nearby there is a quarry that is now home to the Skalní divadlo rock theatre.

The Meixnerova pohybová stezka is 2.5 kilometres long, starts at the municipal office and ends in the centre of Horní Prysk. The trail includes wooden signposts by Petr Jelínek, a wooden footbridge, climbing areas and information boards. It follows former glassmakers’ paths and is designed with coloured glass fragments and glass sand.

Riedelova jeskyně is an extensive artificially created underground space. Its entrance is located on the southeastern slope of Břidličný vrch, directly above the northern edge of Dolní Prysk.

Culture and History

The Kostel svatého Petra a Pavla church is an important monument in Prysk and a Baroque building. It was built from 1718 to 1721 on the site of an older church, based on designs by, or under the direction of, the builder Petr Pavel Columbani.

Four historic residential buildings in Prysk are listed in the registers of the Czech heritage authority. Traditional glassmaking shapes the local character of the village. The summer events series “Léto s Pryskem” also takes place every year.
