Černousy: Hotels and Accommodation

Dubový rybník in Černousy, with an area of 12 hectares, is one of the largest and oldest ponds in the Frýdlantsko region; it is accessible at any time and free of charge.

Culture and History

Count Filip Josef Clam-Gallas had Zámecký dvůr Černousy built in 1793, probably on the site of a similar older building, as the administrative seat for the northern part of the Frýdlant estate. The complex has been an immovable cultural monument since 1958. One of the two granaries at Zámecký dvůr Černousy was converted into a covered riding arena. A multifunctional hall was created in the second granary, which was declared the 2015 Monument of the Year in the Liberec Region. The Church of Saint Lawrence in Ves (Černousy) is a late Gothic church.

Nature and Landscape

Exceptionally large specimens of pedunculate and red oaks grow on the embankment of Dubový rybník. The Meandry Smědé protected area preserves a section of river with a natural riverbed, developing meanders, and oxbow lakes. The protected area also preserves forest, aquatic, wetland, and floodplain ecosystems with near-natural communities and numerous legally protected plant and animal species.

A railway runs through Černousy; there is also a railway stop and a bus stop there.
