Zdislava: Hotels and Accommodation

The village landscape of Zdislava is dominated by the Church of St. John the Baptist, which has a special interior: a unique painted wooden ceiling has been preserved inside. The church, with its surrounding wall, chapel and gate, is designated as a cultural monument; concerts have been held in the church since 1997.

Culture

Several other designated cultural monuments can also be found outside the church. Opposite the church stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. Near the municipal office is a Baroque column with a statue of the Virgin Mary. Both objects are designated as cultural monuments. Zdislava also has a relief-decorated wayside shrine and an atonement cross designated as cultural monuments.

The historic village landscape also includes the Zdislava archaeological site. It is designated as a UAN-I site of the late medieval and modern-era village settlement with a church. Towards the end of the 18th century, the forest chapel U Obrázku was a Marian pilgrimage site in Zdislava. A Marian column with a depiction of the Assumption stands on a lawn at an intersection in northeastern Zdislava.

The Papyrea hand-paper workshop is a family manufactory operating in Zdislava. Papyrea produces handmade paper in Zdislava and offers printing and bookbinding services. By appointment, the hand-paper workshop offers tours and workshops.

Nature

Part of Zdislava lies in the Ještěd Nature Park. To the north of Zdislava rises the limestone mountain Velký Vápenný, 789 metres high, and to the east of Zdislava Špičák, 686 metres high.

Routes

Zdislava is located on a railway station on the Liberec–Teplice line. Before the railway crossing, cycle route No. 3046 branches off westwards towards Janovice v Podještědí. The marked long-distance cycle route No. 25 runs through the cadastral area of Zdislava.
