Pertoltice: Hotels and Accommodations

History

Kostel sv. Jošta was founded in the Middle Ages and remodeled and expanded in the Baroque style in the 18th century. The church was first mentioned in 1346, when it was entered in the parish register of the Diocese of Meissen. The church stands on a hill in the northern part of the settlement.

Culture and Everyday Life

Opposite House No. 6 in Dolní Pertoltice stands the Lorenz and Magdalena Schwind Cross, an iron cross on a sandstone pedestal. It was erected in 1883.

The Pertoltice Village Museum offers guided tours with a guide and focuses on agriculture, folk architecture, as well as food and gastronomy. It is scheduled to be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from April to October; visits must be announced in advance by telephone at 737 056 464.

Haslerův dům is a two-story half-timbered house dating from the late 18th century and part of the open-air museum. The interiors of the first floor in particular have been preserved in their original form; a black kitchen is also still functional. The rural homestead with Haslerův dům is designated as a cultural monument.

Only the remains of the residential building No. 194 west of the church survive from the former fortress in Dolní Pertoltice.

Geographical Location

In the wider regional surroundings of Dolní Pertoltice are Czocha - Zamek XIVw., a castle, and Zamek Gryf, a castle. Kraftwerk Hagenwerder, a ruin, is also located in the wider regional surroundings. The ruin of the former “Former Lauban Railway Substation” is located there as well.

The mountains Bába, Hřebenáč, Špičák, and Kančí vrch are located in the vicinity of Dolní Pertoltice.
