Benecko: Hotels and accommodations

Benecko combines a strong winter sports tradition with diverse trails, nature experiences and cultural sites. This is particularly evident in the history of skiing, the Lufťákova Trail and the various activities around the Benecko ski resort.

Winter sports

Benecko’s winter sports history includes a mountain hut acquired by the Český SKI klub. It became the starting point for ski excursions throughout the Krkonoše Mountains. The Benecko ski resort offers varied slopes, a snow park and three children’s ski parks: Havrland, Family aréna and Kejnos. The facilities also include three snow tubing tracks, a cross-country skiing trail and tobogganing opportunities.

Trails and nature

The Lufťákova Trail starts and ends at the car park. Only the original section along the asphalt path is suitable for prams. This family trail, just under 4 km long, leads to 12 stations with puzzles and unusual tasks. The search for the largest dwarf in the world extends the route by 1.5 km.

The Benecká nature trail runs along municipal and forest paths. At its playfully designed stations, it conveys interesting facts about the rare nature of the Krkonoše Mountains, including mushrooms, animal tracks and the language of hunters.

Benecko also offers various opportunities for cycling: there are cycling circuits for different ability levels, as well as a well-maintained singletrack and a nature trail.

Further experiences

The 3D Maze is located near the mountain station of the Kejnos cable car. Most obstacles can be bypassed via a fixed walkway. In the vicinity of Benecko, Farma Hucul offers horseback rides at the farm and in the surrounding countryside.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint Hubert stands near Jindrova skála, which offers views of the mountains. The traditional Benecká pouť pilgrimage festival is also held at the chapel.
