Brantice: Hotels and Accommodation

Brantice is traversed by the Brantice Highlands, which form part of the Nízký Jeseník Mountains.

Nature

The Opava River flows through the cadastral area of Brantice. The Radim Nature Reserve is located on Kopřivné Hill. It preserves a remnant of fir-beech forest with native Jeseníky larch.

The nearby forests and the hilly landscape around Brantice are ideal for hiking, mushroom picking, and cycling.

Culture and History

Brantice Château is a protected cultural monument with registration number ÚSKP 16390/8-47. Construction of the château was completed in 1604.

The Brantice château park was laid out between 1890 and 1900. Its design combines a formal layout with informal planting. The château park also contains a statue of Hercules dated 1709.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Brantice is a Renaissance-Baroque building with preserved sgraffito decoration. A chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk is located in Radim.

The Brantice sports complex has two football pitches. Sports competitions and summer festivals are held at the sports complex.

Brantice has bus and rail connections, making it possible to commute to work in nearby Krnov or Bruntál.
