Razová: Hotels and Accommodation
Razová lies on the left bank of the Slezská Harta Reservoir, which offers opportunities for swimming. At the edge of Razová, the Vápenná pec educational trail begins at a bay on the left bank.
Nature
Basal thermal biotopes with heat-loving plant species have developed on the old quarry walls of the Razovské tufity; these species do not occur elsewhere in the surrounding area. The Razovské tufity also feature a 12-metre-thick exposure of pyroclastic sediments. These were probably deposited in the bay of a periodically existing lake during the volcanic activity of Velký Roudný at the end of the Tertiary or the beginning of the Quaternary.
Bus route 854909 connects Bruntál, Razová and Moravský Beroun.
History
The first surviving written records of Razová date from 1288. About 2 km from Razová in the direction of Leskovec lies the Vápenná pec, which was built in 1912 for burning lime. It was opened to the public in 2001 and is now a technical monument. Volcanic tuffites were also mined in two sandstone quarries near Razová and processed into decorative stone.
