Město Albrechtice: Hotels and Accommodation

Město Albrechtice is home to the twin-towered Hraniční vrch lookout tower. It is freely accessible year-round; the viewing platform is 25 metres high and can be reached via 149 steps. The Městský turistický okruh connects Poutní hora, the Burkvíz ruins, Linhartovy Château, the lookout tower and Vrch Dubí mountain. It is 28 km long, moderately difficult and also suitable for families with children.

Nature and Activities

Fishing and cycling are possible at Rybník Celňák pond, as well as ice skating in winter. The 140 km-long Slezská magistrála cycle route runs from Jeseník via Město Albrechtice, Krnov, Úvalno and Opava to Kravaře.

Culture and History

The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was built in the mid-18th century on the site of a burned-down wooden church. The church is furnished with ornate Baroque altars, including a high altar with a painting of the Visitation of Mary, and is considered one of the finest examples of Baroque ecclesiastical architecture in the Osoblažsko region. The Baroque Marian Column of Saint Anne stands in the town square. Linhartovy Château houses a permanent exhibition of rare ceramics by Jan Kutálek.

The Minimuzeum kočárků a panenek displays more than 150 prams and more than 300 dolls. It is open by telephone appointment; admission is voluntary.

Family and Leisure

The disc golf course in Bedřicha Smetany Park has six baskets and 20 disc golf discs. The Pohádková stezka Ke Krtečkově studánce fairy-tale trail is just under two kilometres long and includes 11 stations with interactive elements and games. It is suitable for families with children and for prams.

Jezdecké centrum Město Albrechtice offers trail rides, training sessions for advanced riders, and riding opportunities for children and adults in the riding arena; in bad weather, riding takes place in the indoor arena. Eldorádo Hynčice presents a prehistoric setting with dinosaurs, brontosaurs and other giant reptiles, as well as fairy-tale creatures and other figures.
