Nature

The Plenisko Nature Reserve protects natural, primeval-forest-like woodland containing native firs, beeches, spruces and sycamore maples. It lies on the southern slope of the Silesian Beskids below the Kyčera summit and includes numerous waterlogged areas as well as the source area of the Bystrý stream.

The Olše European protected area also includes the cadastral territory of Písek u Jablunkova. It comprises mixed ash-alder floodplain forests of the temperate and boreal regions of Europe.

Mount Gírová lies in the vicinity of Písek u Jablunkova. Mount Kiczory is also located in the vicinity of Písek u Jablunkova. Mount Velký Stožek lies in the area around Písek u Jablunkova. The “Wisła Czarne – Próg wodny” waterfall is located in the same area.

An asphalt forest road leads from Písek to the Polanka recreation centre.

Cycle Routes

In Písek, cycle route 56 intersects route 6086, crosses a bridge over the Olše and continues to Bukovec. The Olše cycle route runs along road II/474 through Písek to Jablunkov.

Culture

A new, architecturally interesting church was founded in Písek u Jablunkova in 2009; the building was completed one year later, in 2010. In Písek, a pilgrimage celebration in honour of Divine Mercy takes place on the first Sunday after Easter.

The Golgota Beskidów Cross monument is located in the wider regional surroundings of Písek u Jablunkova.
