Raškovice: Hotels and accommodations

Raškovice lies in the valleys of the Morávka and Mohelnice rivers and is surrounded by the mountains of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. Mount Kyčera is located nearby, while Kykulka, Ropička, and Travný are in the vicinity of Raškovice. In the wider region lies Kończyce Małe - Zamek XV w., a castle.

Culture and history

The Raškovice Memorial offers a permanent ethnographic exhibition year-round, as well as further exhibitions and programs dedicated to reviving traditional customs and activities. The first written mention of Raškovice dates back to 1261. Traditional agriculture and weaving were among the historical livelihoods of the locality.

In the center of Raškovice, near the former château, stands the Chapel of the Virgin Mary by the château. It was probably built around the middle of the 19th century.

Routes

Several paths lead to the small religious monuments of Raškovice. The central route is approximately 2 km long and runs from the roadside niche chapel “U Vepřeků” to “Adámková kaple” Chapel. The southern route between Foldynův kříž and Heřmanův kříž is approximately 3 to 4 km long.

A western route runs for 3 to 4 km from the wayside image “U Durčáka” to Muroňova kaple Chapel on the border with the neighboring municipality of Skalice. The southern route also runs from Šebestova kříže “Na Suché” along the old “Krásenské ceště” toward Husinec and includes a fairly steep ascent.

Six routes lead from Raškovice to the wooden Church of Saint Anthony of Padua on Prašivá; the shortest is 5.5 km long.
