Sviadnov: Hotels and Accommodation
At 350 metres above sea level, Štandl is the highest point in Sviadnov. At the same time, significant traces of medieval fortifications have been preserved on Štandl; archaeological rescue excavations were carried out there between 1988 and 1992.
Nature
The Pod Štandlem wetland in Sviadnov was revitalised in 2024–2025. The revitalised wetland includes a wooden footbridge; numerous fruit trees were planted in its surroundings. Štandl is designated as a registered significant landscape feature in Sviadnov. The Ostravice River in Sviadnov is also designated as a Natura 2000 site of Community importance.
The Kyčera mountain is located in the vicinity of Sviadnov. In the wider regional surroundings of Sviadnov are Skalka mountain, Ostrá mountain, Malchor mountain, and Kończyce Małe Castle - Zamek XV w.
Culture and History
The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Sviadnov has an organ built in 1891 by organ builder Jan Tuček from Kutná Hora. In addition, the mine complex with headframe in Sviadnov is designated as an immovable cultural monument.
Routes and Activities
In Sviadnov, tourist route No. 7926 and the Štandl educational trail are maintained. The Ostrava–Beskydy cycling route No. 59 runs predominantly on a paved surface.
Jezdecký klub Sviadnov offers children riding lessons, hippotherapy and show jumping, and organises several equestrian, hobby and children’s events throughout the year.
