Bruzovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The first written mention of Bruzovice dates back to 1305. The village combines evidence of its local history with protected architectural and natural monuments.

Culture

The Tvrz Bruzovice site is a presumed small medieval settlement southwest of the village center; a manorial farmstead called Horní dvůr was also located there. The site is considered the probable cradle of the Bruzovických z Bruzovic family.

The Church of Saint Stanislaus in Bruzovice is protected as an immovable cultural monument. A rural farm complex in Bruzovice is also protected as an immovable cultural monument. On the outskirts of Bruzovice near Lučina stands the Na Zálesí Chapel, dating from 1875.

The Bruzovice Museum has a permanent exhibition in the municipal office building. Various cultural events take place in the Bruzovice hunting lodge; it is also used by the general public for family celebrations.

Nature

In Bruzovice, there is a small windmill turret near the European hornbeam protected as a natural monument. There is also a pedunculate oak protected as a natural monument and a common ash protected as a natural monument.

Bruzovice has preserved river valleys with floodplain forests and oak-hornbeam forests, which are considered remarkable natural biotopes. The village offers interesting vantage points and views.

Getting Around

A route leads through Bruzovice to the dam of the Žermanice Reservoir; from the dam, there are views of the water surface and, to the south, of the Beskids panorama.
