Pržno: Hotels and accommodations

Pržno is located on the right bank of the Ostravice River. The cadastral area is crossed by the Ostravice River European Site of Community Importance (CZ0813462); this also includes waterside areas in the western part of the cadastral area.

Nature and water

In the vicinity of Pržno, the Ostravice River is used for swimming and fishing in summer.

Cycling

The Beskydská cycling route runs through Pržno and mostly follows paved paths along the Ostravice River. Cycling Route 59 connects the Moravian-Silesian Beskids with the city of Ostrava and is 35 km long. The Kraków–Moravia–Vienna Greenways cycling route also runs through Pržno.

Culture

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Pržno was built in 1910 from dressed river stone. Construction of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Pržno began in June 1909; it was completed and consecrated in May 1910.

Sports

The artificial-turf sports field operated by the municipality of Pržno is intended for volleyball, soccer tennis, handball, small-sided football, tennis, badminton, and ice hockey. The multifunctional artificial-turf sports field in Pržno, opened in 2018, is available both to the primary school and to the public.

Geographical location

Railway line 323 from Ostrava via Frýdek-Místek and Frenštát pod Radhoštěm to Valašské Meziříčí runs through Pržno.
