Řepiště: Hotels and Accommodation

In Řepiště, the church belongs to a particularly valuable group of Silesian wooden churches. The village also has several small chapels.

Cultural and Sacred Sites

The small, white-plastered Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua stands by the forest on Jezdecká Street. It has a square floor plan with Baroque elements and was built before 1836.

The chapel on the Salt Road stands on Solná Street in the Vinohrady district of Řepiště. The street forms part of the historic “Salt Road”; the chapel is accessible to pedestrians via a footpath.

The Chapel of Saint Florian stands on Zemědělská Street near the “U Kříže” bus stop in the direction of Sedliště. Inside, it houses a gallery with 30 ceramic figures of Saint Florian. They were made by children from Řepiště during a ceramics course at the local primary school.

Paths and History

The chapel on Lesní Street is located on a forest path connecting Řepiště with the Rakovec district. In the past, processions of the parish community from Rakovec travelled along this forest path to Hájek, a pilgrimage site in Lískovec, for the May devotions held at the Frýdek Madonna.

The Řepiště–Vinohrady locality is designated as a site where Těšínit was found in the Silesian Unit of the Outer Western Carpathians.

Cycle Routes and Regional Context

Cycle Route 6065 runs through Řepiště between Paskov and Sedliště. Long-distance Cycle Route 59, Ostrava–Beskydy, also passes through Řepiště.

On the ODIS fare zone map, Paskov, Řepiště and Vratimov are assigned to fare zone 18.
