Těrlicko is characterized by the Těrlická Reservoir and its diverse surroundings. The body of water covers 227 hectares, reaches a maximum depth of 24 meters, and has a capacity of more than 27 million cubic meters. During the seasonal summer recreation period, the reservoir is used particularly for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports.

Water and Nature

A floating observation pier on the Těrlická Reservoir is suitable for watching the sunset. The Těrlické mokřady educational trail provides an additional opportunity to explore nature: it is approximately 2.5 kilometers long and leads through floodplain forests and wetlands along the Stonávka stream. Information boards explain the local ecosystems.

Culture and Art

In Těrlicko-Kostelec, a unique Late Gothic panel painting was uncovered during the restoration of a painting from the Church of St. Lawrence. The restored Madonna painting was subsequently returned to the Church of St. Lawrence. The discovery of the Madonna of Těrlicko is of great importance to heritage conservation and art history.

Těrlicko Sculpture Park displays original sculptures and objects created during international symposia. As an open-air gallery, it places stone and metal sculptures in a natural setting and offers views of the Těšínské Beskydy.
