Nature

Sedlnické sněženky is a protected natural monument whose cadastral area includes Sedlnice. The protected area preserves scattered meadows and remnants of floodplain vegetation in the broad floodplain of the Sedlnice River and protects a rich population of snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis).

Josefův dub is a memorial tree in Sedlnice that is more than one hundred years old. It can be reached via a field path that runs along the sports field to the edge of the forest near the railway line. The tree is associated with a poet who often went to it, sat there, and wrote.

Culture

The Church of Saint Michael is a prominent landmark of Sedlnice. The new church was built in 1826 in the Baroque style. At its entrance, Renaissance tombstones of Jan Sedlnický z Choltic and his wife Johanka z Limberka are set into the side walls; both died in 1573.

Sedlnice Chateau is now preserved only as the remains of a former Baroque complex.

Cycling

Cycle route No. 6039 “Rodištěm S. Freuda” is designated as an easy, 25 km-long route and runs through Sedlnice. It passes through a protected landscape area.
