Hladké Životice: Hotels and Accommodation

Hladké Životice lies in a gentle valley on the banks of the Husí potok stream. One of the town’s prominent historical monuments is the Church of St. Nicholas, built as a new stone church in 1686.

Culture and Townscape

At the upper edge of Hladké Životice, in the direction of Fulnek, stands the Chapel of St. Florian. The town is also home to a sandstone Latin cross dating from 1870 and a wooden mission cross from 1912. The remains of the Liebscher Cross from 1877 have also been preserved.

The built-up part of Hladké Životice is home to the chapel known as “Michelova kaplička”. The Chapel of St. Agnes and St. Zdislava stands by a linden tree in the direction of Kunín.

Routes

Cycle Route 6131 passes through Hladké Životice. It runs along third-class roads as well as local and purpose-built roads; the surfaces are asphalt or paved. Cycle Route 6131 is suitable for all types of bicycles.

A blue-marked hiking trail also passes through Hladké Životice. It is considered an easy route through the Oder Valley between Jistebník and Suchdol nad Odrou. A hiking route of the Czech Tourist Club starts at Hladké Životice railway station and follows the blue-marked trail towards Bartošovice.

Landscape and Waterways

Around Hladké Životice, the remains of the embankments of the Životice ponds have been preserved. These remains invite visitors to take walks for exploration and relaxation.

The Bartošovický luh Nature Reserve includes the naturally meandering course of the Oder, wetlands, reed beds, floodplain meadows and wet woodlands. The protected area extends across the cadastral areas of Bartošovice, Hukovice, Hladké Životice and Pustějov.
