Culture and History
The fragment of the 18th meridian runs exactly through the center of Pustá Polom and beneath the primary school building. It is publicly accessible, lies along a blue-marked hiking trail, and consists of a horizontal Corten steel line on a base made of gray reinforced-concrete slabs.
The existence of the Church of Saint Martin in Pustá Polom has been documented since 1276. The present parish Church of Saint Martin was built in 1803 in the Classical style. The Chapel of Saint Anthony in Pustá Polom is an immovable cultural monument. Vildštejn is a ruin in the wider regional area around Pustá Polom.

Cycling route No. 6140 runs from Ostrava via Kyjovice and Pustá Polom, as well as Raduň, to Opava.
