History and Culture
The remains of a masonry church are located on the Hradisko hillfort in Holasovice. V. Šikulová dated the church to the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. Historians regard Holasovice as an important settlement of the Holasici province.
The foundations of a masonry church dating from the mid-12th century were excavated in the garden near Javorníky. The papal bull issued by Hadrian IV on 23 April 1155 is also used to date Holasovice; historians identify the “Gradice golensicezke” mentioned in it with present-day Holasovice.
