The over 500-year-old so-called “Mechtildin dub” stands along the “Okolo Vřesiny” educational trail and is associated with several legends. At the foot of the “Mechtildin dub” lies a large boulder made of Swedish granite, bearing the engraved designation “Mechtilden Eiche”.
Cycle route 554, “Prajzská cesta”, also passes through Vřesina.

History and local culture
The first written mention of the Panský dvůr in Vřesina dates back to 1431. The original courtyard of the Panský dvůr ran along today’s Ve Dvoře Street.
The present-day “sv. Vilém” church was built in 1930 and consecrated on October 26 of the same year.
Events
At the 2022 Dožínky in Vřesina, the 31st edition of the harvest festival took place at the Výletiště venue.
At the Gulášfest held in September 2025, parents in particular were able to sample goulash.
At the Vřestezka held in September 2025, children and parents could visit nine stations prepared by local associations. Through simple tasks, participants learned more about the work of local associations and received a small reward at the end.
