Rejvíz: Hotels and Accommodation

Rejvíz combines a significant peat bog with an educational trail and preserved village wooden architecture. In the Jeseníky Mountains, the area is one of four national nature reserves. The Rejvíz educational trail begins at Penzion Rejvíz and leads along a boardwalk to Velké mechové jezírko.

Nature

The Rejvíz peat bog formed approximately 6,000 to 7,000 years ago. The ecologically significant moss species šikoušek zelený grows there. The educational trail includes 14 named information boards or stations and makes the peat bog landscape understandable at individual points along the route.

Educational Trail

From Velké mechové jezírko, you can return to Penzion Rejvíz along the same route or continue on the blue trail towards Jeseník. This keeps the route through the peat bog clear: the return journey follows the familiar route, while the marked blue trail continues towards Jeseník.

Surroundings and Village Character

The ruins of Edelštejn are located in the vicinity of Rejvíz. The nearby area also includes the Zámecký pahorek and Zámecký vrch mountains; the Příčný vrch and Orlík mountains are likewise located in the vicinity of Rejvíz. Further afield in the region is Otmuchów Castle - Zamek.

Rejvíz has preserved village wooden architecture, dating predominantly from the 19th century. The historic character of the village therefore stands alongside the natural features of the peat bog and destinations in the nearby and wider surroundings.

Winter

Depending on snow conditions, several cross-country skiing trails are groomed in Rejvíz.
