Skorosice: Hotels and Accommodations

Nature

The Vodopády Stříbrného potoka waterfalls are designated as a natural monument and a Site of Community Importance. The protected area comprises an approximately 110-meter-long gorge-like ravine with rock ledges, waterfalls, and cascades. The highest waterfall in the Rychlebské hory is located in the section of the Vodopády Stříbrného potoka.

Trails

A cycle path and a green-marked hiking trail run along the forest road beside the Stříbrný potok. The easiest access to the Nýznerovské vodopády is via a forest road from Nýznerov, which is accessible only to pedestrians.

Since 2007, an oversized table and two chairs have stood at the summit of Lánský vrch. Lánský vrch can be reached via an unmarked footpath from Sedmlánů; buses on the Jeseník–Žulová–Javorník route stop there, and parking is available. From Lánský vrch, Skorošice, the Rychlebské hory, Praděd, and large lakes in the adjacent Polish lowlands can be seen.

Culture and History

Granite was quarried at the flooded Vaněk quarry for wall cladding in the Prague Metro. In the 18th century, a sculptor's workshop that processed local granite is documented in Skorošice. In Nýznerov, a district of Skorošice, stands the Neo-Gothic brick-built Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary; a memorial plaque commemorating the victims of the First World War is mounted on its wall.
