Šubířov: Hotels and Accommodation

Šubířov was founded on cleared land in a mountainous, forested part of the estate. In the surrounding area, this historical context is combined with the Kladecko natural area and the “private reserve” of Bělá.

Nature

The “private reserve” of Bělá is a complex of wet and dry meadows with remarkable plant diversity and rare animals. From the Šubířov railway stop, it can be reached via a yellow-marked hiking trail and the Kladecko educational trail.

The Kladecko Nature Park contains dense forests with a partly relatively natural composition of tree species; the small rivers Nectava, Romže and Věžnice flow through the park. The U nádrže natural monument in the Kladecko area comprises wetlands with species-rich flowering vegetation and provides a habitat for amphibians.

Trails through Kladecko

The Kladecko educational trail begins at the Šubířov railway stop and ends in the municipality of Jesenec. It is 8 km long and has 12 stations. The educational trail is accessible on foot and by bicycle; a considerable section runs along the historic “Napoleonic Road”.

History and Culture

In the nearby settlement of Chobyně, about 2 km north of Šubířov, a wooden bell tower dating from 1931 is the most significant local monument.

The Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows in Šubířov is a Baroque village church dating from 1714 and was added to the state register of cultural monuments in 1973. Every year on September 15, the feast of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, a pilgrimage takes place at the church in Šubířov.

Šubířov railway station is part of the integrated transport system and is located on route 017 Česká Třebová–Dzbel.
