Horní Moštěnice: Hotels and Accommodation

Horní Moštěnice opens up several ways of experiencing the town: through historic buildings and traces in the landscape, through its gardens and trees, and along paths on the northeastern border.

Culture and History

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a Baroque building in its present form, dating from 1757 to 1792. At Švédské šance, the earthwork remains of a fortified Swedish military camp from 1643 have been preserved; at the same time, Švédské šance in Horní Moštěnice is designated as an important archaeological site. After extensive alterations during the communist era, only part of the façade of the Zámeček remains.

Hodové slavnosti festivals are held regularly in Horní Moštěnice. Cultural events are occasionally held in the Zámecká zahrada.

Townscape and Springs

A protected ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), more than 170 years old and with an unusual crown shape, grows in the Zámecká zahrada. Hanácká kyselka is the best-known of the local mineral water springs.

Railways and Paths

Horní Moštěnice railway station is located on railway line 330 between Přerov and Břeclav. Access to the Horní Moštěnice railway station building, or to the stop including the shelter, is barrier-free.
