Soběchleby: Hotels and Accommodation
Soběchleby is located in the Záhorská kotlina, the Záhorská Basin. The village is home to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a protected cultural monument.
Culture and History
The present-day Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built between 1754 and 1770. Its construction overlies the foundations of a Romanesque chapel and a Gothic church associated with the Ladies of Helfštýn.
The history of Soběchleby also includes a Brethren school, founded as early as 1555. In 1711, it was renovated and extended by an upper floor with two classrooms. The municipal coat of arms also preserves a historical connection: it depicts three loaves of bread and two wine knives; its design from 1752 has been handed down to the present day.
Cycling and Running Routes
The marked cycle route 6137 runs through Soběchleby and connects the village with Helfštýn. Near Helfštýn, this cycle route connects to the Jantarová stezka long-distance cycle route, the Amber Trail.
The Soběchlebský Š-krpál is a regularly held running competition. Its main route, approximately 11.7 km long, runs through the surroundings of Soběchleby and follows paved field and forest roads for 90% of its length. The 2026 programme includes an 11.7 km main race, a 6 km fitness run, and children’s races over distances of 150 to 900 m.
A Stations of the Cross route leads from Simře to Soběchleby. Fourteen crosses have been erected along this route.
Events and Outdoor Swimming Pool
The Soběchlebský Š-krpál 2026 is scheduled for 19 September 2026; the start will take place at the TJ Sokol Soběchleby football pitch. The 7th edition of the “ZÁHORSKEJ HASIČ TFA” competition has been announced for 17 October 2026.
