Today, Bobrovník is primarily a recreational area. The settlement lies in an exposed location on the northern slope, which descends toward the valley of the Staříč River. It is partly hidden among vegetation without forest cover.

Settlement and History

The settlement of Bobrovník consists of relatively dense development with farmsteads along a road at the edge of the forest and is surrounded by vegetation without forest cover. Bobrovník probably originated shortly before 1723 as a small logging settlement on the estate of the Bishop of Wrocław; the place was first mentioned in 1723.

Camping in the Staříč Valley

In the valley of the Staříč River, the Bobrovník autocamp is located between the municipality of Lipová-lázně and the city of Jeseník in the Bobrovník recreational area. It offers camping facilities for tents and caravans, as well as cabins.
