Luběnice: Hotels and Accommodations

Luběnice is located in the western part of the Upper Morava Valley, where the fertile Haná region gradually transitions into the Zábřeh Highlands. The landscape is defined by the long-extinct Kosíř volcano; the Zlatá stružka stream flows through the village.

Village Center and History

The oldest part of Luběnice is the village square, with typical row buildings and plots that have preserved their original historical parcel layout. Standing in the center of the village square is the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, dating from the 18th century. It was reconstructed and reconsecrated in 2000. Next to the chapel is a statue of the Madonna and Child from 1899.

Among Luběnice’s locally significant cultural heritage sites is the birthplace of Josef Sekanina, house number 49. Behind the village, beside a field road leading to Těšetice, there is also a stone cross.

Leisure and Events

The grounds behind the Luběnice cultural center include a miniature golf course. The Municipality of Luběnice, local associations, and other organizations hold several cultural events every year. These include the raising and felling of the maypole, as well as an annual Christmas market.

On June 11, 2026, the municipality published the program for the 2026 summer cinema in Luběnice.

Exploring Luběnice

The Hostinec U hasičů pub is located on a cycle path and serves as a rest stop for many cycling tourists. An old tree-lined avenue in Luběnice is suitable for a quiet stroll.

Luběnice is connected to the higher-level road network via road III/44923. Rail access is provided by the nearby Slatinice railway stop.
