Culture and History

Lutín is home to two chapels with clearly documented construction and restoration histories. The Chapel of St. Florian was built in 1810 by First Lieutenant Achbauer, commander of the Olšany military depot, and was fully restored in 2019.

The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in 1756, reconstructed in 1930 and 1999, and reopened to the public after repairs lasting more than six months. Lutín is also home to Gruntova Vila, a cultural monument dating from the 1930s.

In the vicinity of Lutín are the Monument to the Victims of the First World War and the Statue of St. John of Nepomuk. Also located near Lutín are St. Michael's Church and the Church of Our Lady of the Snows.

Nature and Landscape

Velký Kosíř Nature Park is a protected area on the southernmost foothills of the Zábřežská vrchovina Highlands. It includes an educational trail and covers an area of 19.6 km².

The mountains Horka and Chlum are located in the vicinity of Lutín. In the immediate vicinity of Lutín are the Špitálky Hill [Hněvotín] and the Vyhlídka Hněvotín Hill [Hněvotín].

Events and Trails

The Velká cena obce Lutín is a recurring youth running competition; the 33rd edition took place on April 22, 2026. The hiking group in Lutín organizes a march along the Mánesova stezka trail.
