Podolí: Chapel, Landscape and the Pobečví Cycle Path

Podolí is located in the Záhoří landscape and combines a clearly defined village center with connections to the surrounding countryside. The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius stands on the village square. The building dates from 1893 and is Podolí’s defining structure and most important local landmark. The village square therefore provides a specific historical focal point, while the Záhoří landscape forms the wider setting of the village.

The chapel is dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius. It is connected with the long-standing tradition of Podolské hody, celebrated in honor of Cyril and Methodius.
