Kocourovec combines a clearly recognizable village character with traces of its history of settlement and transport.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes in Kocourovec was built in 1867. A stone cross stands in front of it, with a dedication bearing the year 1871 on its reverse side. At the beginning of the 1920s, the chapel was extensively renovated and reconsecrated on July 20, 1924.

Kocourovec was built in 1799 on the site of a cleared forest.

Location and Transport

Kocourovec lies along the I/35 road between Olomouc and Lipník nad Bečvou. An imperial road was built here at the end of the 18th century. Kocourovec has no railway connection.
