ZadnĂ­ Ăšjezd is located on a spur of the Upper Moravian Depression between UniÄŤov and Ăšsov. The Holubice forest rises above the village.

Nature

The Skalka mountain and the Račůvka hill [Troubelice-Pískov] are located in the vicinity of Zadní Újezd. The Skalka hill [Troubelice-Pískov] and the Kárník hill [Lipinka] are also located nearby.

Archaeology and History

The “Archaeology and History of the Úsovsko Region” educational trail includes the Zadní Újezd–Na Holubici archaeological site. The Zadní Újezd-Holubice archaeological site includes a documented Upper Paleolithic site and a settlement belonging to the Lengyel cultural complex. Settlement pottery from the Lusatian Urnfield culture was found there. A field survey confirms the existence of the Zadní Újezd-Holubice site in the cadastral area of Zadní Újezd.

The Chapel of the Name of the Virgin Mary stands in the village square in ZadnĂ­ Ăšjezd. It was probably built sometime after the mid-19th century.

Culture

Hrad BrnĂ­ÄŤko Castle is located in the vicinity of ZadnĂ­ Ăšjezd. In the wider region are the ruins of NovĂ˝ Hrad, the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, and the Church of St. Michael.

Getting Around

The Uničov–Medlov–Zadní Újezd–Klopina–Veleboř route passes through Zadní Újezd.
