Rájec: Hotels and accommodations
In Rájec, historical landmarks meet natural areas and named landscape features. One of the town’s striking details is the Sloup Nejsvětější Trojice column: it is approximately 5.25 metres high and was erected as a sandstone column in 1892 by Josef and Anna Chrastil from Rájec at their own expense.
Culture and history
The local sacred history includes the Zvonice belfry with two bells and the Kaple v Rájci chapel. The year 1833 is engraved above its entrance; the first recorded mass in the chapel was celebrated on 6 June 1911. The image of Saints Peter and Paul has been preserved to this day in the Kaplička svatého Petra a Pavla chapel.
Hrad Brníčko Castle is located in the vicinity of Rájec. The Nový Hrad ruins are situated in the wider regional surroundings of Rájec.
Nature and landscape
Part of the Litovelské Pomoraví Site of Community Importance lies in the cadastral area of Rájec u Zábřehu in the direction of Leština. The part concerning Rájec includes floodplain forests as well as habitats for rare plants, insects and animals. The Studánka spring and the campsite at “Junáckém” are located in a small forest behind the local reservoir.
Skalka Mountain lies in the immediate vicinity of Rájec. The Cukrová Bouda and Obora mountains are located in the surroundings of Rájec, while Lazek Mountain lies in the wider regional surroundings.
The Olomouc–Zábřeh railway line runs through the cadastral area of Rájec, but there has never been a railway stop in the town.
