Skrbeň: Hotels and Accommodation
Skrbeň combines an archaeologically investigated site with preserved sacred and manor buildings, historical transport connections, and routes into the Litovelské Pomoraví.
Culture and History
Hradisko, a slight elevation northwest of Skrbeň, is an archaeologically investigated site. Archaeological investigations uncovered post holes from huts, storage pits, polished stone tools, ceramic fragments, blades, and skeletal remains.
The chapel in Skrbeň was elevated to parish church status in 1869. The village is also home to the monumental Baroque statue of Saint Florian, created in 1706 and the work of Václav Render.
Since 1742, the statue of Saint Florian has stood in the courtyard of the Skrbeň manor. The manor complex also preserves the remains of a Renaissance staircase, simple Renaissance portals bearing the coat of arms of Jan Skrbeňský z Hříště, and Baroque granaries.
Zlatá křepelka is an old coaching inn for carters on the road from Olomouc to Prague and has been reconstructed. Skrbeň railway halt also retains half-timbered construction.
The carnival tradition Ostatky s hanáckým právem in Skrbeň usually takes place every four years.
