Strukov: Hotels and Accommodation

Strukov is located in a lowland region on drained ponds. The Teplička stream flows through the village and also forms Strukov’s western boundary. At the Strukov Biocenter, you can relax by the pond.

Village and Culture

A statue of the Virgin Mary stands in the centre of Strukov. The bell tower is a distinctive feature of the village square: the four-sided structure has smooth façades, a hipped roof and a cross on the roof ridge. The characteristic housing landscape known as “Zlatá ulička” consists of small houses interspersed with somewhat larger farmsteads.

Memorial sites and local traditions also shape the village. A commemorative plaque is located at house no. 7 in Strukov, the birthplace of František Hrubý. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Strukov underwent extensive restoration in 2003. The Strukov Hody festival takes place regularly on the Sunday closest to 16 May, the feast of Saint John of Nepomuk. It includes an outdoor service, a procession through the village and a folk festival afterwards.

Landscape and Cycling

Tree-lined avenues border the field paths leading from Strukov far into the surrounding area. The “Cyklostezka Strukov a Žerotín” project comprises a designated transport connection for cyclists or associated cycling infrastructure that has been newly built, modernised or reconstructed.

Strukov has a bus stop but no railway station.
