Staré Město Pod Sněžníkem: Hotels and Accommodation

A route from Staré Město leads to Paprsek (1,022 m above sea level) in the Rychlebské hory mountains. The trail in the Staroměstská Fortified Area is 8 km long and connects several infantry bunkers built for defense before the Second World War. It is signposted with red-and-white markings and can be started at the railway station.

Dalimilova Rozhledna is a stone lookout tower on 918-metre-high Větrov near Staré Město and a faithful replica of the former lookout tower on Králický Sněžník. The Staroměstsko region also has more than 140 km of well-maintained cross-country skiing trails of varying difficulty.

The Church of St. Anne is a listed building; the present Catholic structure was built in 1618. The Muzeum vojenské historie a Staroměstska includes a fortification exhibition on the beginning of construction of the permanent fortifications in the 1930s. It also has an exhibition providing a comprehensive historical overview of the Czechoslovak Army.

The Staré Město Museum is located in a single room on the ground floor of the town hall and opened in 2001. It contains approximately two hundred objects and historical archival materials, including dozens of photographs of architectural landmarks and natural beauty spots. The traditional Anenská pouť took place from July 24 to 27, 2025, on Náměstí Osvobození in Staré Město pod Sněžníkem.

Jízdárna Černý kůň at Sportovní 333 in Staré Město pod Sněžníkem offers horseback rides through the landscapes of Králický Sněžník, Rychlebské hory, and Jeseníky. Riding lessons are also offered there under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Staré Město can be reached by a local railway from the express train station in Hanušovice on the Olomouc–Jeseník line. The road to Staré Město runs from Hanušovice through the valley of the Krupá River; another road leads from Branná to Staré Město.
