Tučín: Hotels and Accommodation

In Tučín, a stone statue of Saint Isidore stands on a stepped pedestal. An inscription indicates that it was erected in 1749. The life-size figure is dressed in contemporary clothing, has its hands folded in prayer, and is accompanied by an angel holding the saint’s hat.

Culture and History

The House of Traditions and Crafts at No. 17 is a living exhibition of rural traditions and crafts, particularly agriculture. It was opened to the public in 2018. Visits are possible during events held there or for groups by prior arrangement.

The Tučín – Římská věž lookout tower is open to visitors on the days and at the times specified by the operator; no more than ten people may enter at a time. Motor vehicles of all kinds are prohibited from accessing the lookout tower. Parking is available at the outdoor swimming pool in Tučín, and a smaller car park for twelve passenger cars is located by the water facility.

The approximately 3.5-kilometre circular route of the S tučňákem za poznáním educational trail runs through Tučín and its immediate surroundings. The route is considered easy, suitable for families with children, and features numerous play elements. The Větrný mlýn viewpoint is Station 3 of the S tučňákem za poznáním trail and is freely accessible.

For cycling tours, the approximately 39-kilometre Záhorská cycling route passes through Tučín. It runs over paved surfaces and is particularly suitable for trekking bikes. DiscGolfPark Tučín is a course with various types of holes, including tunnel throws, expansive fairways, and some changes in elevation.

The 20th edition of the Tučínský špekáček music festival took place in 2023, followed by the 21st edition in 2024.

Nature

A mineral spring with a temperature of 21 °C, discovered during drilling in 1935, was used in 1940 to build the local outdoor swimming pool in the pit of a depleted quarry.
