Landscape
Dolek is a small forest planted with deciduous and coniferous trees in the northern cadastral area of Rokytnice. There are wooded areas along the Bečva and in the northern cadastral area of Rokytnice toward Kokory; along the river, they consist predominantly of deciduous trees.
Culture and History
The Church of St. James, Rokytnice Chateau, the adjacent park, the nursery, and the former farm buildings together form an ensemble registered as a cultural monument. Rokytnice Chateau is a three-winged, two-story High Baroque building with a park; the chateau complex is accessible during the day and borders an extensive park.
As early as 1086, the historic Hradská road ran around or through what would later become Rokytnice; it connected the castle district centers of Olomouc and Přerov.
Culture and Trails
The Bečva Cycle Path runs through Rokytnice. In addition to cyclists, it is also intended for inline skaters, hikers, and cross-country skiers. Cycle Route 5042 Prostějov–Věrovany–Citov–Přerov runs through the Rokytnice municipal area; west of the built-up area, it follows Road III/43515 and subsequently uses local and purpose-built paths.
The Hasičské muzeum Josefa Eichhoffa was established through the complete reconstruction of a former fire station depot dating from 1905. It can be visited on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. by telephone appointment.
