Culture and History

In Zdětín, the three-day Easter custom of Hrkání, Klepání or Řehtání, from Maundy Thursday to Holy Saturday, is still alive today. The old Haltýř well was formerly part of the Zdětín manor farm.

The Bílovický hrad archaeological site is located in the cadastral area of Zdětín, above a small abandoned quarry. The origins of Bílovický hrad date back to the Late Neolithic, which here is dated to 4,000 to 2,500 BC. In the 13th and 14th centuries, Bílovický hrad was also used as a fortified aristocratic residence.

Landscape and Nature

Zdětín lies at the transition between Haná and the Drahanská vrchovina uplands. In the vicinity of Zdětín, northeast on Bílá hora, lies the protected area of the Na Hůrkách Nature Reserve.

The well-maintained Studánka Bělinka spring is located near Bělecký Mlýn, not far from the main road.
