Bojanov: Hotels and Accommodation

The original settlement of Bojanov was laid out in the form of a square, with the church within the complex. The present form of the Church of St. Vitus dates from 1730.

Culture

The chancel of the Church of St. Vitus in Bojanov is decorated with frescoes depicting the legend of St. Vitus. The wooden bell tower next to the Church of St. Vitus houses the Václav bell, dating from 1510. The accessible ossuary at the Church of St. Vitus displays bones and skulls arranged like a palisade. “Bojanovské muzicírování” is a summer music festival in the Iron Mountains.

Hiking and Trails

The “History of Lime Burning” educational trail begins in Třemočnice, leads via Seč to Bojanov, and continues to Polánka. It offers insights into limestone quarries and presents the history of limestone mining in the Iron Mountains. The educational trail is just under 30 kilometres long.

The mountains of Bučina and Krkanka are located around Bojanov. The hills “(Vápenice) [Krásné-Polánka]” and “(V Bodlinách [Seč])” are situated in the immediate vicinity of Bojanov. The Church of Svatý Jiří is located in the wider regional surroundings of Bojanov.
