Culture and history

The Chapel of St. John the Baptist was built in 1891–1892 and solemnly consecrated on June 25, 1893. Masses are held in the chapel on the first Sunday of every month.

IREDO bus routes 702 and 777 serve the “Horní Holetín – železniční zastávka” stop. IREDO bus route 777 also serves the “Horní Holetín – křižovatka” stop.

The Holetín sports complex has a football pitch with changing rooms and showers. It also features an uncovered outdoor pool with natural water, measuring 25 × 12.5 m.

The third edition of “Maškarní tancovačka” took place on March 21, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. at the Kulturní centrum Holetín. Marked cycle route 18, a route of regional importance, runs through the municipality of Holetín along the Hlinsko–Holetín–Raná–Skuteč route.

The municipality of Holetín organizes children's events every summer, including Holetínský Nebojsa.

Devět Skal, Žákova hora, and Jarošov are mountains in the wider regional surroundings of Horní Holetín. The hill “Medkovy kopce [Hlinsko v Čechách]” is located in the immediate vicinity of Horní Holetín.
