Hrochův Týnec: Hotels and Accommodations

Hrochův Týnec is located in the Polabian Lowland on the left bank of the Novohradka River, at its confluence with the Ležák stream. The Novohradka flows through the area of Hrochův Týnec from east to west.

Culture

The present-day Church of St. Martin stands on a hill above the square. It dates from 1723–1728. The southern Zeller Chapel of the Virgin Mary, dating from 1680, has been preserved inside the church; on its northwestern side there is also the tomb of the Liliewald family, dating from 1830–1831.

Southwest of the square stands Hrochův Týnec Château, which was extended by a Chapel of the Virgin Mary. Its château garden contains a single-story brick garden house with a mansard roof. The townscape also includes a burgher house in Hrochův Týnec with a triangular gable decorated with vases and festoons.

Landscape

In the immediate surroundings of Hrochův Týnec are the hill of Turyň [Kočí], Na vrchách Hill, and Stropinský vrch Hill [Úhřetická Lhota]. In the wider regional area are the Church of St. George and Bučina Mountain.

Cycling

The 62-km cycling route “Through the Landscape of the Ležák, Žejbr and Krounka Rivers” begins at Hrochův Týnec railway station.
